The Stanserhorn cable car and restaurant are open from mid-April to the end of November. From June to October, evening rides operate until 11.00 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and in May on Saturday evenings. On busy days, the cable car runs every 10 minutes.

Individual guests are advised to purchase an Online Boarding Pass in advance. This allows you to reserve your travel time to the Stanserhorn and avoid waiting times in Stans.
Directions & Parking facilities
The Stanserhorn is the local mountain of Stans, the capital of the canton of Nidwalden, and is only 13 minutes by train or 15 minutes by car from Lucerne. From Stans railway station, the valley station can be reached with a 5-minute walk. The journey from the valley station via the middle station to the Stanserhorn takes 24 minutes.
