Lunch is served at the “Baulüüt” Grill Restaurant on the Campus Sursee, offering delicious regional dishes from the charcoal grill. Day 3: Aiming high

On the third day, take the unique open-air CabriO cable car to the 1,900-meter-high Stanserhorn for stunning panoramic views. Lunch is served at the Culinarium Alpinum in Stans, a stylishly renovated Capuchin monastery serving regional cuisine. Day 4: Andermatt and the Gotthard massif

After a hearty breakfast, your journey begins with a scenic boat ride from Lucerne to Flüelen – no need to worry about luggage thanks to the SBB baggage service. In Erstfeld, visit the Gotthard Base Tunnel Visitor Center to learn about this impressive feat of engineering. Then travel on to Andermatt, where you’ll enjoy a refined afternoon tea at The Chedi Andermatt and explore the charming mountain village at your own pace. Spend the night at the Radisson Blu Hotel Reussen, perhaps rounding off the evening with a drink by the fireplace.

Day 5: From alpine life back to the urban style

Then take the Gütsch Express gondola to the mountaintop Restaurant Gütsch for a panoramic lunch. On the way back to Lucerne, pass through the spectacular Schöllenen Gorge – a landscape filled with history. Conclude your trip with a gala dinner at the elegant lakeside Villa Schweizerhof in Lucerne.
