Together with Axpo (a Swiss energy supply company), the Lake Lucerne Navigation Company (SGV) is paving the way for a more sustainable future for shipping in Central Switzerland. In future, the motor vessel Saphir will be powered by regionally produced hydrogen. This will make it possible to reduce CO2 emissions. Shiptec AG has been entrusted with the planning, authorisation and conversion of the M/V Saphir, making it a pioneer in the field of hydrogen mobility on inland waterways.
