In the 2025 Condé Nast Traveler Readers Choice Awards, over 750'000 readers voted Lucerne into fourth place among the best small cities worldwide, just behind Victoria, Puerto Vallarta and Florence. Additionally, the German travel magazine TRAVELBOOK named Lucerne the city with the most beautiful old town in Switzerland. The Chapel Bridge, historic squares and facade paintings impressed both the jury and the public.
