Impressive light art and dream weather make for magical Lilu moments

The sixth Lilu Light Festival Lucerne captivated thousands of visitors during its eleven days. After a stormy start, clear, cold nights lit up the city and created a unique atmosphere that enchanted young and old alike. Around 150,000 guests experienced the 22 light installations, impressive light shows and the varied supporting programme - a result that delighted the festival management.

‘Lilu has become a shining fixture in Lucerne's winter’, says a delighted Thomas Fritschi, co-festival director. One of the highlights was once again the magical live show in the Jesuit Church, which enchanted with touching light art and music. The various installations along the lake basin and in the historic old town also brought light into the darkness and made faces light up. The festive atmosphere in the city was tangible on all eleven days.
