Arrival and guided City Tour of Lucerne

Lucerne is located in the heart of Switzerland and is ideally accessible by public transport and car from all Swiss airports and the largest cities. The scenic surroundings make the journey to Lucerne an experience itself. Find out more about the different ways to get to Lucerne. 

From the train station you can start with an interesting guided City Tour of Lucerne. Swiss Dinner at Restaurant Stadtkeller

After an adventurous day it’s time for a delicious dinner in the Restaurant Stadtkeller, right in the heart of Lucerne's Old Town. Enjoy the traditional Swiss cuisine and be enchanted by the Swiss Folklore Show. Traditional Swiss customs and usages, with alphorns, cowbells, national costumes, flag throwing and yodelling will make your visit to the Stadtkeller a unique experience.

Adventure on the local mountain of Lucerne

Out of the city and up to Pilatus Kulm at 2’132 meters above sea level! Discover Lucerne’s local mountain on the “Golden Round Trip”. You will use different kind of transportation and discover the Lake Lucerne Region from above and with the best view. 

The first highlight is the boat trip from Lucerne to Alpnachstad. Enjoy the breeze in your hair and the wonderful view whilst having a coffee and croissants. Afterwards you will take the steepest cogwheel railway in the world to reach the top of Mt. Pilatus (maximum gradient: 48 %) 

Once you have arrived at the top, the terrace of the Hotel Pilatus Kulm offers a stunning view to the Swiss Alps and is ideal for a lunch. After eating you can either go on a journey of discovery the Dragon Trail or gaze from the panoramic terrace out to the far. 

If you’d rather be more active then you should take the aerial cableway Dragon Ride to Fräkmüntegg where you can decide between testing your climbing skills in the largest rope park of Central Switzerland, experiencing a flight with the Dragon Glider through the tree tops or shooting through steep curves with the summer toboggan run down towards the valley. 

Full of new impressions you can then take the panorama gondolas down to Kriens and afterwards the bus back to Lucerne.

Dinner at Villa Schweizerhof

The Villa Schweizerhof is part of the 5* Hotel Schweizerhof and is located between the Grand Casino Luzern and the Swiss Museum of Transport, directly on Lake Lucerne.
