It all starts with water, malt, hops and yeast; it ends with beer. And in between?
Find out the answers on an engaging tour of the Stiär Biär microbrewery. After the visit, you receive in two of their freshly drawn beers – brewed with fresh spring water from the wild Uri mountains – and a tasty pretzel.
There's been a brewery in Altdorf since 1866. Erected by Vinzenz Reiser to brew beer, the building then served as a military pharmacy before standing empty for a time. Uri-based Kleinbräuerei Stiär Biär AG moved into the premises in 2009 – and the rest is history.
