Hire the attic or garden of the Winkelriedhaus for your cultural event or reception in conjunction with a guided tour of the museum.
The Winkelriedhaus in Stans is an important landmark in Canton Nidwalden. It was first mentioned in written form in the yearbook of Engelberg monastery (13th century). In the Middle Ages it belonged to the Winkelried family. It was acquired by the local governor, Melchior Lussi, in 1560. It then passed to another governor, Jost Remigi Traxler, in 1766, before being acquired by the Kayser family in 1815, which ended up donating it to the canton in 1974. It now forms part of the Nidwalden Museum.
