**Ambassador Program**

The Ambassador Program was launched in 2017 to attract prominent figures from the fields of science, medicine, business, and culture—who possess strong networks—and who wish to promote Lucerne as a destination for conferences and meetings.

Your involvement can play a decisive role in bringing national and international conferences to our city. At the same time, hosting a conference in Lucerne gives you the opportunity to raise the profile of your field, position your institution on the international stage, and forge valuable new connections.

Lucerne offers the ideal conditions for this: a city of manageable size with outstanding infrastructure, a unique location between the lake and the mountains, and an unparalleled cultural scene.

- Why an Ambassador Program?
    
    Lucerne is one of Switzerland’s leading conference and meeting destinations. To attract international and national conferences to our city, we need individuals with influence, expertise, and a strong network. This is exactly where our ambassadors come in: they serve as bridges between the professional community and the destination.
- What is the Ambassador Program?
    
    The Ambassador Program was launched in 2017 by Lucerne Tourism and is supported by the Convention Bureau.
    
    The program recognizes individuals from Lucerne who use their expertise, dedication, and networks to help bring conferences to our city. Their contribution is crucial, as we as a destination would have no chance of attracting such conferences without their commitment.
    
    The program currently has 35 members. We hold an official meeting once a year, focusing on personal interaction and networking.
- Who can be an Ambassador?
    
    The Ambassador Program is aimed at dedicated individuals who wish to use their expertise and network to strengthen Lucerne as a conference and meeting destination.
    
    
    - Leaders from the fields of science, medicine, business, culture, and professional associations
    - Individuals with a strong network within professional societies and associations
    - People who are willing to promote Lucerne as a venue for their conferences
- Your Benefits as an Ambassador
    
    As an Ambassador, you’ll benefit from exclusive support and visibility - while making a valuable contribution to Lucerne’s development as a center for knowledge and conferences.

- What do we expect?
    
    We expect our ambassadors to be willing to consider hosting conferences or meetings and to recommend Lucerne as a venue. We also look forward to your participation in the annual ambassadors’ meeting and regular communication with the Lucerne Convention Bureau (LCB).
- Your term as an Ambassador
    
    The program is designed to last three years. During this time, we will actively support you in attracting conferences and create opportunities for networking. The program may also be extended after the three-year period has ended.
